Dr. Sonu Joseph

Dr. Sonu Joseph, DPM is a foot and ankle surgeon in Chicago, Illinois. She was raised in Morton Grove, IL and went to Loyola University Chicago. Dr. Joseph credits her Jesuit education for her ability to provide personalized attention and concern for her patients.  She received her doctorate of podiatric medicine from Dr. William M. Scholl College in 2016. She went on to complete her surgical residency at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital, where she received excellent training and the ability to treat conditions of the foot and ankle both conservatively and surgically. 

Over the years, Dr. Joseph has gained experience in the latest treatments for forefoot and rearfoot related issues. She is well versed in both conservative care and surgical intervention. She performs biomechanical exams and practices sports medicine in the office. She also performs wound care and diabetic limb salvage and has experience with elective and trauma-related foot and ankle surgery.

Dr. Joseph is fully privileged at NorthShore University Health System, as an attending physician and surgeon. She sees inpatients, performs consults, takes call, and schedules surgeries at all 4 main campuses. She is also able to perform a wide array of podiatric surgical procedures on an outpatient basis. 

Dr. Joseph has been practicing in the Chicagoland area for 4 years treating all types of patients both conservatively and surgically. She is excited to begin practicing at the Chicago and Gurnee locations of Gurnee Podiatry & Sports Medicine Associates.

Dr. Joseph enjoys spending her free time taking her dog to the park, cooking, reading, and traveling.
